USER GUIDE
Documentation
From your first crawl to secure client reviews: a guide to what the app can do.
Your first website review
- Create an account and add your site. Use a site you own or have permission to test. If prompted, verify your email and the domain’s ownership to unlock the relevant actions or higher-volume captures.
- Choose Crawl now. The app reads the site’s sitemap and discovers pages. Use the URL-selection screen to choose the pages you want captured; finding a URL does not automatically mean it has a screenshot.
- Capture selected URLs. Each selected page is captured at the enabled viewport sizes. Follow progress as pages move from waiting to captured, partly captured, or failed.
- Review and act. Open a page, compare its screenshots, inspect findings, and run an AI review if you have credits. Share a report or give a client PIN access when you are ready.
One screenshot is one page at one viewport. Capturing 10 pages at 4 viewports uses 40 screenshots from your monthly allowance.
Inspect screenshots and findings
The review workspace keeps the page list, screenshot stage, and findings together. Filter by path, captured status, issues, changes, or failure state. Select multiple pages for capture or analysis; retry a failed or partial capture or add a previously unselected page to the crawl.
- Compare: see available viewport screenshots side by side, or select an individual viewport. Open an image in the viewer to zoom, fit, or inspect it more closely.
- Built-in viewports: phone and desktop are available on Free; paid plans add tablet and laptop. Custom viewports are available within paid-plan limits. Existing crawls keep their viewport settings.
- Automatic findings: when the capture engine provides measurements, checks can flag horizontal overflow, small text, small tap targets, oversized images, and overlapping text. Findings include severity and, where available, location and a suggested fix.
- Capture states: waiting, failed, blocked, excluded, partial, and captured states describe what happened. “Not captured” means the page has no screenshot in that crawl; “blocked” can indicate bot protection.
“Screenshot only” is a capture mode, not a clean bill of health. External screenshot-service captures may not include browser measurements. Missing automatic findings do not prove a layout has no issues. Review the images or use AI analysis.
Use AI reviews as a second opinion
AI reviews compare selected screenshot sections and available layout data to suggest issues and fixes. Run one for a page, selected pages, all pages, or pages with issues. The AI screens field lets you choose screen sections (for example, 1,2); the default review covers the first two screen-height sections.
Each queued page review uses one AI credit; a failed analysis refunds the credit. Paid plans include monthly credits; a Free account may have configured trial credits. Purchased review packs, when offered, are used according to the account’s credit rules. Check your balance in the account page.
AI results need human judgment and do not certify accessibility or correctness. A configured external AI provider receives the selected screenshot content and related review data. See the Privacy Policy before submitting sensitive content.
Track changes over time
On plans that include change tracking, re-crawl a domain to compare captures with the previous crawl. Visual diffs highlight changes; the review controls let you inspect before, after, or overlay views when comparison data is available.
Configure scheduled re-crawls in the domain settings using the frequencies offered by your plan. Scheduled captures also consume screenshot allowance. If the allowance is exhausted, scheduled work may be skipped or limited. Image retention limits how far back available screenshots can be reviewed.
Keep notes and work items with the URL
On plans with client access, add notes or work items in the review panel. Tie them to a viewport or use Log work on a finding. Mark work as to do or done. Notes follow the URL across re-crawls so the next review has context.
Only notes marked Share with client appear in the client portal and shared/PDF reports. Keep internal notes unshared. Findings can also be dismissed from the active review when appropriate.
Share reports and export PDFs
From a completed crawl, use Share report to create a report link, or Export PDF to produce a downloadable report. Report and branding options depend on your plan. Agency includes white-label reporting where enabled.
A report link is a separate sharing mechanism from the project link plus PIN. Control its lifetime and revoke it when it is no longer needed. A PDF is a downloadable copy: the app cannot revoke a file someone already saved. Review screenshots and shared notes for personal or confidential information before distributing them.
Plans, limits, and billing
Visit pricing for current Free, Starter, Pro, and Agency allowances, or open Plan and usage when signed in. Plans can limit domains, screenshots, AI reviews, pages per crawl, scheduling, custom viewports, client PINs, branding, and image retention.
- Monthly screenshot allowance resets on the 1st. Captures that finally fail release their screenshot allowance.
- Select a paid plan and billing interval, then confirm through Stripe checkout when available. Subscriptions and payment updates depend on the configured billing service.
- Use Billing and invoices to manage payment details, invoices, and cancellation. Review any prorated plan-change amount before confirming.
- Export what you need before images expire. Cancel an active subscription before deleting an account.
